I am a graduate student of the Linguistic Department at UNC. I received my BA in Linguistics in companion with a TESOL certificate from York University in 2019, during which I worked as a research assistant on the prosody and intonation of Kwak’wala. My current research interest is on prosodic phonology, cognition, language documentation, and language acquisition. My MA thesis focus on the phonological analysis of a tonal language: Nanchang Gan, with an emphasis on the tone sandhi patterns and its potential interaction with Optimality Theory.
